So happy you’ve found your way here! If you’re reading this, you may either be getting married soon or planning a fun event to celebrate the bride-to-be…how exciting!

I recently had the honor of being my BFF from high school’s Matron of Honor and it is such an exciting time to celebrate!

When it came to planning her shower, she knew what she didn’t want: The same, cliche bridal shower games that get played at virtually every bridal shower—you know the ones! There’s nothing wrong with bridal shower games, but you can only make a wedding dress out of toilet paper so many times before it feels a little tired.

No Games—got it! But it meant that we would need something to kind of fill time and space before we started the gifts.

The shower was a Boho theme, with lots of whimsy and romantic florals, so we wanted an activity that was “on brand”, if you will.

Floral Crowns? Lots of work and they don’t keep.

Planting Succulents? A bit messy.

That’s when I got the idea for making Essential Oil Roller Balls!

Not only are they totally Boho, but they also are a great party favor that will have everyone remembering the bride long after the shower ended!

Once I had the idea, I started searching for how we could make the oils Boho and beautiful!

I was able to find these glass rollerballs with bamboo lids on Amazon! They ended up working perfect and looked so minimal and cute.

After the glass rollers were secured, I went on the hunt for cute labels to use! While I knew I could probably design my own, I knew that 1) I do not have time for that and 2) why not support a small business?!

Took my search to Etsy, and WOW are there so many options for roller ball labels! I went the route of digital downloads to print myself, but you could also look for pre-printed labels if you only need a certain amount!

I narrowed it down to a couple designs that I liked and then started trying to come up with blends that would work.

If you like the labels I used, you can purchase them here! (I did have a little issue with them not lining up to the Avery 2x2 stickers, despite having them professionally done at FedEx. My workaround was printing them on full sheet labels and hand cutting them. Not ideal, but I was committed at this point!)

If you are using oils from some of the big MLM brands, there are sooooo many options for both labels and recipe ideas on Pinterest.

But for the sake of being cost effective with large enough bottles to make sure there was enough to go around, we were using a non-MLM brand called Rocky Mountain Oils—my go-to brand! I’ll share more below!

This made it a bit more challenging to find recipes that matched labels—I felt like I was doing a Sudoku puzzle! Especially because I wanted to find blends that could use a lot of the same oils, to avoid too much excess cost.

Ultimately I found 6 different blends that we could create at the shower!

Wellness: Orange, Clove, Eucalyptus and Cinnamon Bark

Breathe: Eucalyptus, Lemon, Peppermint and Rosemary

Tension: Peppermint, Frankincense and Lavender

Anxious: Bergamot, Frankincense, Orange and Lavender

Happy: Bergamot, Orange, Grapefruit and Lemon

Dreamy: Lavender, Cedarwood and Frankincense

These blends worked out great for having to purchase the least amount of oils to create the most blends!

You can see below the prices for each oil with the total cost at the end:

Bergamot - $23

Cedarwood - $12

Cinnamon - $15 (I went with a blend of cinnamon that is pre-diluted, in case anyone used too much, since it’s a “hot oil” that can cause irritation)

Clove - $13

Eucalyptus - $15

Frankincense - $36

Grapefruit - $14

Lavender - $23

Lemon - $12

Orange - $10

Peppermint - $17

Rosemary - $14

You will also need a Carrier Oil of some sort. I bought Fractionated Coconut Oil from Rocky Mountain Oils, but you could also use Jojoba or Sweet Almond oil! The 12 oz bottle with a pump (highly recommend that) was $20.

Total for all the oils + carrier oil: $204

If you sign up for RMO emails or follow them on social media, you may be able to find special deals or coupons to a take a little bit of $$$ off! Plus, free shipping over $25!

If you were to buy all these oils individually from an MLM brand it would be wayyyy more, which is why I chose to use Rocky Mountain Oils. Amazing quality without the markup.

Choosing High Quality Oils

Not all essential oils are created equal, and it’s important to use high quality oils in order to reap the benefits of aromatherapy.

Rocky Mountain Oils has direct buying relationships with the most trusted suppliers in the industry. They test hundreds of samples to find the best essential oils available. These samples are GC/MS tested to check for purity before they purchase essential oils from suppliers.

Once the bulk order arrives, RMO sends a sample from it to a third-party lab for another round of GC/MS testing to ensure they received the same essential oil that was sampled and purchased. They do this to ensure that the essential oil we receive is the same 100% pure and natural oil we purchased from our suppliers. Love the authenticity and commitment to quality!

Through a rigorous process of selecting suppliers and unwavering commitment to stringent quality testing, Rocky Mountain Oils guarantees every essential oil they sell is 100% pure and authentic.
