7 Clean Beauty Dupes for Cult Classic Makeup

When I was a sophomore in college, I bought my first Urban Decay Naked Palette. It was beautiful and I started watching YouTube tutorials to really learn how to do different looks. This is what gave me a love for quality makeup!

A few years later, I started learning more about the ingredients in that and all of my other makeup—YIKES! I had been duped into believing that because it was expensive, it was better than cheaper drugstore finds. As I started making swaps, I couldn’t get over that some of the clean makeup brands just didn’t stack up.

I finally feel that I have a solid list of clean beauty dupes that actually stack up to the cult classics found on the shelves of Sephora! Take a look at the list below to see some of my top picks…

Ilia “The Necessary” Palette

Dupe for Urban Decay Naked Palettes

I love the hues of this warm palette and it totally reminds me of the Naked palette tones. But what is really great is that this palette has rich color payout, which is what a lot of clean makeup brands lack. Ilia’s palette is free from talc, PTFE (Teflon), Acrylates and PET that are found in Urban Decay palettes.

Crunchi “Luminescence” Highlighter

Dupe for Becca “Champagne Pop”

If you’re familiar with Becca’s Champagne Pop highligher, you know it’s THE highlighter to beat! It’s tough to find a comparable glow, but I think the Crunchi Luminescence highlighter is a good dupe. And because it’s clean, it doesn’t have the mineral oil byproducts found in Becca’s.

Han Bronzer in “Malibu”

Dupe for Benefit “Hoola”

It’s hard to find a good matte bronzer that isn’t too sparkly and isn’t too orange. Which is what makes the Hoola bronzer so great, but unfortunately it’s full of dirty ingredients—even parabens! This Han bronzer in the color “Malibu” is a great clean dupe without compromise.

Lily Lolo Pressed Mineral Blush in “In the Pink”

Dupe for Nars “Orgasm”

Just like Nars’ infamous blush, this blush from Lily Lolo is the perfect pink blush without looking too much like play makeup. It has a slight coral undertone and a subtle sparkle, without questionable talc.

Honest Beauty 2-in-1 Mascara and Lash Primer

Dupe for Benefit “They’re Real!”

Benefit is known for their insanely lengthening mascara, but unfortunately it isn’t the cleanest option with ingredients such as paraffin and glycols. This mascara and primer combo from Honest Beauty provoides great length without compromising ingredients. Plus, it’s such a steal at only $16.99!

W3LL People “Expressionist” Brow Gel

Dupe for Benefit “Gimme Brow”

Gimme Brow was one of the original brow products when bold brows started to become all the rage. But now that there are so many options or brow products, it makes sense to choose one that isn’t filled with glycols and mineral oil byproducts. W3LL People is great dupe that uses clean ingredients. Plus, it’s pretty affordable and accessible at big box stores.

Kosas Wet Lip Oil Gloss

Clean Lip Gloss Dupe

There are so many lip glosses on the market, both dirty and clean, but I really have been loving this gloss from Kosas. Called a “wet oil”, it glides on like a dream and is not sticky at all. But at the same time, it gives a great plumping look. Plus it comes in a lot of nice pinky neutral hues.
